Would You Like Someone Else to Plant a Little Something?

We weren’t meant to do life alone. And guess what? You don’t even have to plant alone!

We’ve been talking about planting, sowing good seed into the soil of our lives. We’ve talked about preparing the soil and being intentional about sowing the good see of God’s Word deep into that soil so it could take root and grow.
But today my fingers are taking a break and I’m presenting to you a video. In this Trail Talk video I give a few tips for finding a mentor, a wise, older woman who can sow good seed into your life.
Do you have a mentor? How does she sow “good” into your life? Are you the “older woman” to a younger woman? How has carefully and wisely sowing seed into another woman’s life enriched your own?

Great vlog, Kay! And really good tips, especially respecting each other's time. I've watched and had long friendships with two ladies – one 10 yrs older, the other 20 yrs older. SUCH a wealth of information, and such godly examples! I also have two younger gals that I'm friends with. Mentoring goes both ways!

Kay you have been such a great mentor to me, you have helped me to see things in a way that nobody else has. You are such a blessing in my life and I just want you to know that. I loved the video you need to do that more often!

I can't see the video yet becasue of where I am at in Afghanistan and the computers block videos sometimes, but what I can say is that being a military person moving all the time I've had different people of different ages step into my life as a mentor if only for a short time. When I truly humbled my self and sought guidance, advice, or just needed to get some things off my chest they always pointed me back to scripture, asked me about my quiet time, and gently guided me in the right direction. I truly believe because of the mentorship I've received and running after God is the only reason why over the last year I have been mentoring, really the first time, or what I call "walking alongside" other women in the military guiding them as I have been. Not sure to explain how it has enriched my life, but I enjoy sharing God's love with others and showing them that as I have they can too overcome their situation with the Lord and live life to full abundance. Anyways, I can't wait to see the video! 🙂
