Not So Wordy Wednesday

And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. (Galatians 6:9)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

Laziness casts into a deep sleep, and an idle man will suffer hunger. (Proverbs 19:15)

She looks for wool and flax, and works with her hands in delight. She is like merchant ships; she brings her food from afar. She rises also while it is still night, and gives food to her household, and portions to her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard. She girds herself with strength, and makes her arms strong. She senses that her gain is good; her lamp does not go out at night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff, and her hands grasp the spindle. She extends her hand to the poor; and she stretches out her hands to the needy. (Proverbs 31:13-20)

And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; and do confirm for us the work of our hands; yes, confirm the work of our hands. (Psalm 90:17)

Now…let’s all get to work and have a productive day!

Blessings!

Thanks Kay! It's just want I needed to read and to memorize them. I have been feeling unproductive lately and I need to change that bad habit back into my sort of normal everyday routine again. I resigned from my job about almost six months ago due to my physical health problems. I felt God has called me to tell me it's time to leave this job and do something else like spending more time sewing and to look for another job. So I did. I didn't regret leaving because I know it's the right thing to do and my body felt so much better. But I do regret that I didn't spend enough time working on my dream (or is it God's dream? I'm little unclear about that part.) to work on sewing stuffed animals for little children around the world who have little (have a blog but not ready to give you my address link just yet) during my free time for the past few months while I'm unemployed waiting to be employed again by another job. First few months, I was very productive (sewing) but as time went on, I'm turning into unproductive because I'm enjoying sleeping in more, reading blogs, watch tv, etc during my free time instead of sewing, baking, etc which is not good. Thankfully, my friend just had a baby and another friend is having a baby too in the next few days so I'm going to be busy sewing. Once I'm done those, hopefully I'll swing back to the dream that I'm supposed to be working on. Few days ago, I got a job which is great because I missed working and making money but it's still not enough hours so I'm still looking for another job. I apologize this is long but I want to explain why I'm feeling unproductive and lazy. Hopefully to memorize these verses that you gave me will help me to realize that I need to stop being lazy and get back to doing good work that glory God.

Thank you, Kay. I needed to read these verses. I host 8 little sixth grade girls at 7:00 a.m. every Friday morning and I am certainly growing weary in doing good. I'm tired of it. I have to prepare a lesson for this Friday and I don't want to do it. The girls are getting more and more junior high-ish and it's bugging me. ARGH!!

    Thanks again.

Oops! I should have said that I host them for a Bible study every Friday morning. Kind of an important detail. 🙂
